1000 words to design educators and design students

Allan Chochinov, (product design teacher from Pratt) gives his advice to design educators and design students. I found his words interesting, especially the comparison between undergrad and grad students.

I enjoyed both of these. I was particularly struck with the idea about
fear dictating grad student work. I think we grad students feel we have more to risk by showing work that we don't feel is either finished or perfect. I want to feel free to experiment and try new ideas but it is scary. (Rachel is great about helping me move forward!)

I may use some of the ideas in here--particularly the "fear" one as a starting point for next semester's discussions. Just out of curiousity--how many of you have read the book "Art and Fear"?
